About St Anthony’s - A Catholic School & Education

Masses and Liturgies

St Anthony’s School and Holy Family Church are part of the Northside Catholic Parish. We celebrate Mass as a whole school at the beginning and end of the year and in consultation with the Parish Priest, additional Masses may be celebrated on feast days and holy days.

Liturgies and class Masses are arranged on a roster system. All classes take responsibility for the preparation of liturgies during the year. Celebrations are attended by either the whole school in Holy Family Church or Padua Place.

Teachers organise classroom prayer - inviting parents and other classes of their year level to attend.

Classes are rostered to join the Parish community in attending Tuesday morning Mass (9:00am).

Sacramental Program

Sacramental preparation of children is family based in the Rockhampton Diocese and conducted through the Parishes. Knowledge of the sacraments is taught at school in appropriate class levels and according to the Diocesan guidelines. Students preparing for the Sacraments are supported by our school.

Class Prayer

Prayer is an expression of a child’s growing relationship with God both as an individual and as a member of the faith community. For that relationship to develop fully and harmoniously, varied and meaningful experiences of prayer are provided.
